The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is one of the eight scientific departments in the academic system of the Faculty of Pharmacy in Mansoura, which are integrated with each other to graduate pharmacists with a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences holders through both the basic study program of the faculty as well as the new qualitative program (clinical pharmacy) rich in many relevant academic courses.
Among those courses, there are pharmaceutical chemistry and drug design that the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry teaches, which is a main focus in the curriculum as it is a link between chemistry and life sciences, and a link between pharmacology and health problems on the one hand, and the basics of organic, analytical and biological chemistry. and molecular modeling on the other hand.
