The workshop addressed the concept of homeland and the connection between faith and it. The homeland is a symbol of identity, belonging, pride, and dignity for the human being. The homeland is of great importance in an individual’s life, as it represents his heritage, history, dignity, and pride, and it is the place where all his rights exist, such as his right to own property, his right to live in dignity, his right to practice his religious rituals, his right to security and stability, and other things that provide him With a feeling of peace and security. Homeland represents the instinctive and innate longing that exists within the individual without his having a will or choice for it, as the individual clings to a specific place and no other place, even if he resides in a place other than his homeland, as he cannot stop loving his homeland. The workshop also discussed the role of the individual towards the homeland, how to preserve it, and the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in supporting these concepts and clarifying them for all members of society.
