He added that Mansoura University continues to develop and expand the scope of its joint academic programs, keen to provide an integrated international educational environment that raises the level of students and prepares them for the global labor market. He added that the agreement is an extension of the successful model launched by the university in cooperation with Manchester University in the Medicine and Dentistry programs, emphasizing that it adds a new dimension to cooperation in the field of clinical pharmacy. He also expressed his pride in the continued distinguished international cooperation between the two prestigious universities, noting that the agreement represents a qualitative addition to the university's international education programs and confirms its commitment to providing an academic environment that graduates distinguished cadres capable of competing locally and internationally. He added that the agreement complements a successful cooperation process spanning decades, preceded by two similar agreements under which the Manchester International Programs were implemented at the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry, which have proven their worth and contributed to the development of medical education at Mansoura University.
Prof. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi explained that signing the agreement highlights Mansoura University's position among Egypt's leading universities in activating international partnerships. This supports the country's strategy for human capital development and provides students with competitive educational opportunities that meet international quality standards. He added that the PharmD Clinical Pharmacy program, in partnership with Manchester, will represent a qualitative leap in the preparation of distinguished pharmaceutical cadres and open broader horizons for academic and research exchange between faculty members and students. He pointed out that the partnership with the University of Manchester supports sustainable development goals through curriculum development and the exchange of expertise, and contributes to achieving Egypt's Vision 2030 in the fields of education and scientific research.
Prof. Manal Eid emphasized that the agreement contributes to the transfer and localization of distinguished scientific and research expertise from one of the world's most prestigious universities in medical sciences and represents a strong impetus for the development of clinical pharmacy programs at the faculty. She added that the new program will contribute to preparing graduates capable of efficiently keeping pace with therapeutic and pharmaceutical developments and will enhance subspecialties in clinical pharmacy in accordance with British standards.
On the sidelines of the signing, Mansoura University’s delegation held a series of meetings with international relations officials from the Faculties of Humanities and Science and Engineering at the University of Manchester to discuss prospects for future cooperation and expand the scope of the partnership between the two universities in various disciplines.
It is worth noting that this agreement is the third between the two universities, following the great success of the Manchester programs at the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry at Mansoura University, which have lasted for nearly two decades and contributed to the graduation of highly qualified medical personnel with academic excellence.
