 The e-learning unit aims to activate information technology services at the college level to serve the educational process, faculty members, students and workers through the university's electronic systems by carrying out the following activities:

And within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with regard to the expansion of the dissemination of the culture of digital transformation and the measures taken by Mansoura University in the field of developing assessment and examination systems, and to improve the outcomes of the educational process and to achieve justice and transparency in student assessment, and the developed systems and methods for tests and design for banks Questions (Q mans) that are reviewed by the University’s Measurement and Evaluation Center The first electronic exams for the middle of the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022 were launched from the electronic exam halls at the College of Pharmacy, as well as the experimental tests to simulate the mid-semester exam for the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022  

The work team of the Information Technology Unit of the College provided technical and technical support, noting that videos have been uploaded to familiarize students with the test mechanisms, in addition to holding several experimental tests the week before the test, in order to facilitate the students’ task in performing electronic tests.

 In addition to ensuring the support of the infrastructure of computer laboratories, internet lines and specialized programs, in addition to the availability of manpower from maintenance technicians, technical and technical support, and training students on how to deal with the electronic examination environment. 

Recording, archiving and document management system

It is also worth noting that the registration, preservation and document management system has been activated in the college in order to achieve the state’s directions towards digital transformation and data mechanization in line with Egypt’s goals for sustainable development 2030. In order to activate the system 

The unit also provides technical and technical support to the users of the system in the college.

  • Steps to activate the document management and archive system within the college 
  • Addressing the heads of the administrative departments of the college and the faculty members, heads of the scientific departments, to nominate one of the employees in order to assign him the responsibility of dealing with the document management and preservation system.
  • Addressing the Communications and Information Technology Center to open accounts for the people involved in working on the system, and a list of the names of the candidates was attached with their data (national number - email - phone number - department or department)
  • Addressing the Communications and Information Technology Center to open accounts for the Dean of the College, the Deans of the College and the Director of the Information Technology Unit as supervisors. A statement was attached to the data (national number - email - phone number)
  • Inviting the employees of the administrative and scientific departments concerned with the application of the system for managing and preserving documents and archives

To complete the steps of operating the system, activating it and working with it, Dr. Yousra Al-Far - Director of the Information Technology Unit with the Communications and Information Technology Center (Eng. Alaa Heiba) held a workshop under the title "How to use the document management and archive system" under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Manal Eid - Dean of the College, and a date has been set for holding the workshop on Wednesday, 20/10/2021

Accordingly, an invitation was sent to the gentlemen concerned with working on the system, the general manager of the college, heads of departments and some members of the esteemed faculty to explain all matters related to the system in preparation for its activation in all correspondence and letters in the college in order to achieve the directions of the university and the college for digital transformation

Work has been done on updating and developing the website in the English language, and it is worth mentioning that the college is about to launch the new website in its English version in line with modern capabilities, which is an important and necessary matter at the present time in order to attract expatriates and which puts the college in the first ranks of building, developing, managing and maintaining The database, which calls for those who are fluent in English to join the work team for the correct translation, which helps the site to appear properly.

Proceeding from the great interest that the Faculty of Pharmacy - Mansoura University attaches to scientific research, which it considers one of its first priorities and main objectives, through which it aspires to achieve its scientific mission in spreading knowledge as well as teaching and community service. To publish the research and studies that they prepare, because of their great impact in enhancing the culture of scientific research among students and in raising their scientific and knowledge level .
