Research plan goals:
The  scientific research of the Department of Pharmaceutical Practice emanating from the research plan of the Faculty of Pharmacy - Mansoura University is based on the work of studies on pharmaceutical care resulting from the use of some medicines used in the treatment of common and chronic diseases in the Egyptian society, such as liver diseases, diabetes mellitus, kidneys, heart, tumors, asthma and other diseases. As well as studying the extent of its pharmacological effect as a result of the presence of other or certain foods or taking other medicines with which unwanted drug interactions may occur.
The department is also interested in its research plan on studying the effect of pattern change and genetic mutations for patients on the effectiveness of the drugs given to them and how to work out treatment protocols for each patient individually according to his ability to metabolize, as well as the use of some antioxidants to improve the functions of various body organs, which contributes to achieving the best methods Desired medical and curative care for patients.
 
Research plan areas:
1.  The first research field includes clinical trials that aim to study the potential therapeutic effect of some modern drugs and to identify the optimal treatment plan for patients suffering from chronic diseases or cancerous tumors. 
2.  The second research field is a clinical pharmacokinetic study. The main objective of this field is:
•  Studying interactions between ingredients and herbs, food or other medicines 
Studying  the effect of diseases on pharmacokinetics
•  Monitoring the kinetics of the drug in the blood 
Studying  genetic differences and their effect on the concentration of drugs in the blood 
3.  Research Area Three: Pharmaceutical Practice 
The main objective of this field is:
•  Developing health care services in order to provide safe and effective drug treatment in Mansoura University Hospitals 
•  Activating the role of clinical pharmacy in Mansoura University Hospitals 
•  Developing the use of modern technological means to improve health care in Mansoura University Hospitals 
•  Providing better ways to educate patients about the nature of their treatment

Biochemistry department 
Department of Medicines and Toxicology 
Analytical chemistry department 
Professors at the Faculty of Medicine, with different specializations 
Professors at the National Institute of Tropical Medicine and Hepatology 
 
Duration of the research plan:
Five years (2020-2025)
