Within the framework of activating the Egyptian-French scientific cooperation program (Imhotep), which is being implemented between the Egyptian Ministry of Scientific Research and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in which the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology undertakes the administrative work of the program on the Egyptian side, and the French organization Campus France undertakes the administrative work on the French side. The Research Academy is pleased The Faculty of Science and Technology announces the acceptance of research proposals for the years 2024/2025

 In the following research areas:

1. Water : (sanitation, desalination, irrigation management)
2. Environment: new and renewable energy , Hydrogenise energy cells, batteries of electric cars
3. Biology, Medicine, Health ( production of enzymes by biotechnology, advanced diagnostic techniques for diseases (sensors), hepatitis C
4. Mathematics and their reaction
5. Physics
6. Earth and Space Sciences
7. Chemistry
8. Human Sciences and Humanities
9. Science Society ( tourism and Education)
10. Engineering Sciences (renewable energy)
11. Information, Communication and Technologies( multimedia)
12. Agronomy, Animal Production, Plant and Food ( production of Crops)

This program is valid for 24 months, and the Academy finances each project with an amount of 150,000 pounds annually. Researchers wishing to participate in the program must register online at   submission.asrt.sci.eg

      Important note:

• The principal investigator and the alternate researcher of the research team must belong to the same university or research center. As for the rest of the team members, they may belong to different entities.
• Accredited private universities in the Arab Republic of Egypt are allowed to apply in accordance with this announcement, just like public universities.

The last date for submitting research proposals is May 3, 2023. In the event that the proposal is approved to be included in the aforementioned program, the principal investigator and the research entity will be notified.
