In July 2025, Mansoura University signed a new academic cooperation agreement with the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom to implement the "PharmD Mansoura-Manchester" Bachelor of Pharmacy program at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University, starting in the 2025/2026 academic year. This agreement extends the distinguished scientific partnership between the two universities.
The agreement was signed at the University of Manchester in the presence of a Mansoura University delegation headed by Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Manal Eid, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, who signed on behalf of Mansoura University. Representing the University of Manchester was Professor Ashley Bloom, Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Biological Sciences, in the presence of Professor Keith Brennan, Vice Dean for Internationalization, and a number of professors and academic officials.
The agreement contributes to the transfer and localization of distinguished scientific and research expertise from one of the world's most prestigious universities in medical sciences, and represents a significant boost to the development of the college's clinical pharmacy programs.
The new program will contribute to preparing graduates capable of effectively keeping pace with the latest therapeutic and pharmaceutical advancements, and will enhance specialized clinical pharmacy training in accordance with British standards.
