Announcing the opening of the second research call for the Basic Sciences Scholarship
The Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) announces the opening of the door to apply for the second research call for the Basic Sciences Grant, which aims to stimulate scientific research in the field of basic sciences
and build innovative research groups capable of facing challenges, bridging the technological gap and contributing to building a strong scientific base in basic sciences. Which will be reflected on the level of scientific research and its impact in Egypt.
General conditions for the call:
Funding the best research proposals for Egyptian researchers in the fields of basic sciences (mathematics, chemistry, physics). For a period of not less than two years and not more than three years.
- Funding up to a maximum of 2 million pounds for advanced projects in the field of mathematics
Funding up to a maximum of EGP 3 million for advanced projects in the fields of physics and chemistry
The technical proposals submitted to the Commission are judged on a competitive basis by arbitrators specialized in the scientific field of the submitted projects in accordance with the Commission's rules.
Deadline for receiving research proposals: February 13, 2023 - 2:00 p.m.
