Seminar on services provided to empower people of determination and support integration within the university at the Faculty of Pharmacy - Mansoura University
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi - Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs and Ms. Entrepreneurship Prof. Dr. Rasha Mohamed Fathi Barwa - Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nevin Abdel Khaleq - Director The Center for Services for Persons with Disabilities at the University and Dr. Sarah Zidan - Deputy Director of the Center visited the College of Pharmacy in the introductory meeting activities for new students, with distinguished participation from the Center, to explain strategies for empowering people of determination and supporting integration within Mansoura University.
Professor Dr. Rasha Barwa welcomed the attendees, praising the center’s role in providing integrated services “student activities, training programs, and psychosocial counseling” for all persons with disabilities to build their capabilities and qualify them, which contributes to their integration into society and their acquisition of the necessary skills required by the labor market.
This was followed by a lecture from Professor Dr. Nevin Abdel Khaleq on introducing the Center for Services for Persons with Disabilities at the university, what is the meaning of the term people with disabilities, how to achieve integration within the university, what are the services and initiatives provided to them by the center, volunteer support, and communication channels with the center, as was presented by Dr. Sarah Zidan. Giving a lecture on psychological rehabilitation and its importance for people of determination, the art of dealing with them, and the services provided by the Psychological Support and Family Guidance Unit within the center.
