Launch of the first activities of the Student Pharmacy Research Club
Within the framework of the leading role played by the Education and Student Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Pharmacy in supporting student activities with an academic and research focus, the sector launched the Pharmacy Research Student Club initiative. This initiative was launched under the supervision of Professor Dr. Jenny Gihan Nasr, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, in cooperation with the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector, and student Hassan Murad El-Metwally, a fifth-year PharmD student.
The initiative aims to develop students' scientific research skills from their early years of study and prepare them to compete in research fields both locally and internationally. This will be achieved through training programs, workshops, and student research groups supervised by faculty members and their assistants, in addition to an annual research competition, support for scientific publication, and participation in conferences.
As part of the club's official launch, the Education and Student Affairs Sector is organizing its first event: an introductory session on international scholarships and successful application procedures based on practical experience.
The session will be presented by:
🔹 Dr. Mahmoud El-Damasy – Founder of Akadeemy Academy, specializing in scholarships and academic opportunities. He has practical experience working with international academic systems and empowering students and researchers to transform their academic aspirations into real opportunities.
The session will cover how to properly prepare for international scholarship applications, build a strong academic and research portfolio, and the key factors that qualify students for outstanding study and research opportunities.
📌 Scholarships are not awarded to the most ambitious… but to the best prepared.
📌 Students are advised to prepare their questions to maximize their benefit.
🗓 Session Date: Friday, February 13 – 7 PM
