The eighth announcement of the Higher Education Initiative Program for Graduate Studies Scholarships for Professionals for the academic year 2022/2023

The Central Administration of Scholarships at the Ministry of Higher Education, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development, announces the opening of the door for applications for the “Higher Education Initiative to Grant Graduate Studies for Professionals” program, in accordance with Agreement No. 263-289 signed between the United States Agency for International Development and the Central Administration of Missions at the Ministry of Higher Education. To provide scholarships for the purpose of raising the efficiency of (Egyptian government institutions, universities, research centers, and limited places for the private sector) to contribute to national economic growth. These scholarships are available to males, females and people with special needs.

 

1- Types of delegation:

Grant for a post-doctoral assignment in the United States of America for a period of six months.

 

- Scholarships for a full semester internship in the USA, from a minimum of three months to a maximum of four months.

 

These grants will benefit the recipients in enhancing their professional skills and research capabilities necessary to improve and pursue their career path in the present and the future, and the financial allocations for these specific and innovative grants.

- Grants are available on the missions management website from Tuesday 4 March 2022 until Thursday 28 April 2022.

 

- Proposals and the files of the candidates will be accepted from Thursday, March 10, until April 28, 2022.

 

- Personal interviews are conducted for the candidates to measure the extent of communication and the depth of understanding of the research proposal.

 

- Do not discriminate between applicants on the grounds of religion, creed, gender, origin, race, color, language, disability, social level, or any other reason.

  - New and renewable energy.

 

  - Desalination of water resources.

 

  - Rare and modern engineering and technology sciences.

 

  - Computer science and information technology.

  - Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences.

 

  - Commercial Sciences.

 

  - Social, human and educational sciences.

 

First: Grant Details:

  A- Details of grants for post-doctoral assignments in the United States of America:

 

     – Obtaining a score of 52 on the IBT TOEFL or a score of 5.5 in the “IELTS”. A mandatory requirement when submitting the research proposal.

 

     - Obtaining a Ph.D.

 

     Working in a permanent job or in the contract system in one of the governmental or private agencies in the Arab Republic of Egypt

 

    - The candidate should not have previously benefited from the program or obtained a mission or grant provided to the state through the Central Administration of Missions for the purpose of obtaining post-doctoral scientific missions during the last two years.

 

    Study for a full 6 months in the United States of America.

 

    Studying at an accredited and recognized university in the United States of America

 

b Grant details for one-semester training in the USA:

 

    – A score of 52 on the IBT (TOEFL) or a score of 5.5 on the “IELTS.” A mandatory requirement when submitting a research proposal.

 

    Working in a permanent job or in the contract system in one of the governmental or private agencies in the Arab Republic of Egypt

 

    Training in one of the accredited and recognized universities or institutions in the United States of America

 

    Study in the United States of America for a period of one semester, with a maximum of one semester, and a maximum of four months.

 

Allocations for post-doctoral scholarships:

 

   - v Training grant allocations for one semester:

 

    - The fees for obtaining the language degree are paid in the event the candidate obtains the scholarship permanently “and those dues are paid upon his arrival in the United States of America.

 

    - Expenses of a medical examination before travelling, which are paid immediately upon arrival in the United States of America.

 

    - One-time round-trip economy class airfare.

 

    - A living allowance in US dollars is disbursed every first month since the moment of arrival.

 

    - Health insurance within the United States of America.

 

Grant application steps:

  - He must have performed military service or be exempted from it.
