The first meeting of the council of a public university was held at the Ahlia campus in Mansoura
Mansoura State University held today the first meeting of the Council of a public university on the campus of the Ahlia University emanating from it, headed by Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed El-Meligy, acting president of Mansoura University, and the presence of the deans of the faculties.
Dr. said. Mahmoud Abul-Magd, the official spokesman for Mansoura University, said that at the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Meligy praised the engineering and construction achievements that took place at Mansoura Private University, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the political leadership for its support, and for overcoming all the obstacles that faced the establishment of private universities. He also thanked Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, former Minister of Higher Education and current Minister of Health, and Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Their efforts in providing the necessary support to the National University.
The acting President of Mansoura University thanked the officials of the Faculty of Engineering and the University’s Engineering Consultation Center for their efforts to follow up on these works during the past period, and also thanked Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset, the former university president, for his efforts during his tenure, which included many achievements.
The council commended the initiative for self-sufficiency in the products of the Faculty of Agriculture for hospitals and university cities, praising the efforts made to develop the university campus before the start of the 2022/2023 academic year.
During the council's activities, Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the plan to prepare for the new academic year 2022/2023, and the plan for innovative activities to raise students’ awareness of the achievements of the Egyptian state, and to discuss the challenges facing youth and Egyptian society, as well as reviewing the efforts made last year to conduct electronic exams and facilitate them for students In light of the increase in the number of electronic test laboratories at the university, with reference to the increase in the number of advanced academic accreditation programs that work to meet the needs of the labor market and provide new and distinct specializations on an ongoing basis.
Presented by Dr. Hafez, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, supervised a presentation on the continued progress of Mansoura University in various international classifications, especially the Shanghai classification, which is characterized by high and difficult standards, noting that the university advanced this year 100 places to become in the center from 601-700, praising the efforts made by University faculty and researchers; To upgrade the scientific research system and increase international publication, which was reflected in the progress in the various international classifications of universities.
