The success of the safe evacuation experiment at the Faculty of Pharmacy - Mansoura University
Proceeding from the commitment of the Faculty of Pharmacy - Mansoura University to the security and safety of its students and employees, and in the interest of the college administration to implement the highest standards of public safety and to preserve lives and property, and to spread full awareness in the event of a danger or fire outbreak and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. / Ashraf Abdel Basset - President The University and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meligy - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, led by Mrs. Dr. Manal Eid - Dean of the College, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Rasha Barwa - Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Shabrawy - Vice-Dean for Service Affairs Society and Environmental Development and Prof. Dr. Khaled Bashir - Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, the College of Pharmacy conducted an evacuation experiment for a fire accident inside the college, where the fire alarm rang out in the B and B educational building at two o’clock in the afternoon after the end of the theoretical examination for the fifth level in the presence of 750 students Immediately, the students left the building to the escape routes and the predetermined gathering places in the main square of the college, as well as the staff and workers of the college, under the guidance of the Security and safety staff, in coordination with the Civil Protection Department and in the presence and participation of the college administration, in order to activate the security and safety emergency plan, and to ensure the efficiency of the safe evacuation process, which lasted ten minutes and took place quietly and successfully
In this context, Prof. Manal Eid, Dean of the College, said: “The College is keen to adhere to and develop permanently the standards of security and public safety. The evacuation process was completed successfully and in record time, proving the effectiveness of the emergency plan adopted by the college, and its commitment to security and safety standards, as well as the evacuation time frame.”
It is noteworthy that a number of equipped ambulances arrived at the college headquarters in record time. It is worth noting that all college staff are fully aware of all procedures to be followed, in order to preserve their safety and the safety of students in the event of a fire or any emergency situation
