Honoring Dr. Yousra Al-Far from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research within the framework of the activities of the Symposium on Interdisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Research Programs

On Thursday morning, May 11, 2023, Dr. Ayman Ashour - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research inaugurated the activities of a symposium on "interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research programmes", which represents the official launch of the "Egyptian National Network for Interdisciplinary Programs and Research for Egyptian Universities", in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Daher - Deputy Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Sami Hashem - Chairman of the Education and Scientific Research Committee in the House of Representatives, Dr. Mustafa Refaat - Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, Dr. Abeer Al Shater - General Supervisor of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank and Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs, and Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar - Media Advisor and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ulrike Felsmeier - Global Expert in Interdisciplinary and Interdisciplinary at the University of Lovana, Germany, and Mrs. Samantha Miles, Coordinator of Interdisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Training Programs at Knowledge EFor training and consulting, a number of presidents of public and private universities, and a group of knowledge partners, international experts and specialists in this field. 

In his speech, the Minister indicated that this symposium aims to consolidate the idea of ​​interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary disciplines in Egyptian higher education and scientific research, explaining that the Ministry has provided comprehensive training programs over the past three years through the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), in cooperation with the Knowledge E Foundation . To train faculty members and researchers in Egyptian universities and research centers

Dr. added. Ayman Ashour, that the ministry adopts the idea of ​​publishing the interprograms through the training of a number of international experts from Australia, Europe and the United States of America, many faculty members to apply the thought of interprograms and research in Egyptian universities. We also seek to increase research experience in this type of science through advanced training and research projects, as well as training researchers in the skills of dealing with complex issues that individual disciplines are unable to address, and that require concerted disciplines to reach solutions from a variety of expert points of view, pointing out that it is underway. Restructuring universities, to keep pace with global changes, to prepare specialized inter-university programs.

For her part, Prof. Ole Vilsmaier stressed the need to pay attention to accelerating and diversifying disciplines in the higher education system. To meet societal challenges through interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary programs, reviewing some successful global initiatives in this field, noting the importance of restructuring educational institutions in a way that contributes to enhancing innovation and encouraging more aspects of cooperation.

Mrs. Samantha Miles explained that capacity building training programs have contributed to the training of approximately 145 Egyptian academic specialists from 20 Egyptian universities during the past three years, noting that these training courses aim to enable participants to integrate the teaching of research skills in structural fields and the application of education models. and interdisciplinary learning in their universities, and promoting interdisciplinary curricula in Egyptian universities. It is worth noting that, on the sidelines of the opening, prizes were awarded to the successful participants of the Capacity Building Training Program for the year 2022.
